Needled nonwoven
Needled nonwoven is made of different synthetic fibers (polyester, poly- propylene, viscose or special fibers) put through mechanical treatment by needling. Company Filc produces weights between 60 and 2000 g/m2 and max. width of 440 cms.

The following post-processing Construction industry of
needled nonwoven fabrics is possible:

Thermal treatment:
• hot-air blowing
• smoothing
• calendering
• scorching

Chemical treatment:
• hydrophobic
• oleophobic
• flame retardant
• antibacterial

Automotive industry
This has been the most rapidly growing field of operations at Filc over the few past years. It is a key strategic orientation for the company. Good co-operation with the end users, meeting their needs as well as finding mutual solutions, help us to follow the market trends and to develop the products pursuant to the trend.

Our production and sales program offers products for the following applications:
• thermal insulation of car batteries
• acoustic insulation materials for the motor area and vehicle interiors
• materials for carpets and car trunk upholstery
• barrier materials for injection molding and thermoforming
• materials for headliners

Construction industry
metal roofing
Product DR!PSTOP attached to sheet metal regulates air humidity, preventing water condensation and potential damage caused by water condensation forming on cool sheet metal. Apart from water absorption capacity features – min. 900 / 1000 g/m2 (depending on the weight of nonwoven textiles), this product offers the following advantages:
• easy application procedure
• good adhesion to metal plates
• sound absorption
• thermal insulation
• combustibility A2-s1, d0 (EN 13501-1)
• antibacterial resistance

layers white roofing:
For more than ten years company Filc has been active on a hydroinsulation market segment and is the market leader in layer hydroinsulation based on caoutchouc, poliolefyn, PVC and other artificial substances. The product line includes basic polyester layers as well as special layers with additional features in terms of inflammability, affixing and treatment.

geotextiles
Nonwoven needled textiles are made of poly- propylene and polyester fibers pursuant to the CE mark. They are used in excavations, in low- construction works for separation, fixing, filtration, draining and protective purposes. Using geotextiles, brings down costs, increases the ground bearing resistance. Geotextile prevents mixing of non quality soil with fine road metal and enables important water drainage in the construction of roads, railways, tunnels, airports, parking lots, sport and tennis grounds, dams, water regulation facilities, drainages, hydroinsulation protection and public dumping-ground areas. To meet the high demands of the building industry, the product POLITLAK distinguishes itself with a high tensile strength, elongation, static puncture, chemical resistance and good drainage and filtration effect.

POLITLAK application:
• road construction
• railway construction
• tunnel construction
• public dumping-grounds
• remediation of damaged roadways

pipes sanitation:
Polyester layers for pipes sanitation are the new product line offered by Filc. The product’s composition and technical characteristics allow for suitable wetness and condensation of the epoxy resin.

Others:
• layers used in manufacturing of artificial leather
• woolen felts (woolen technical felts of different dimension, polishing disks, felts in different forms)
• self-adhesive formed felts – woolen and synthetic
• covering foils of different widths for use in gardens and fields
• filtration materials and filters

Furniture industry
fillers:
There are some standard filler types ready for different applications and they all meet the proper safety regulations (among them the Furniture in Furnishing List II, part 1, Safety regulations 1988, amended 1989, Furniture Research Association, IKEA Requirements - TÜV Rheinland).

Felts for covering:
The furniture industry uses needled and thermally matted products made of polypropylene in the form of separate protection layers between the decora- tive covering material and wooden or metal parts. The advantage of nonwoven products over classic textile materials is the price/quality ratio.

Fire-safe protection
Within the range of fire-protective fabrics one can select among two programmes. The PROTEX® programme offers permanent protection against fire through a mix of modacrylic fibres/cotton. Modified acryl has natural appearance and feel and colours excellently. Mixed with cotton it has additional advantages. It has a durable built-in fire-safe component, excellent fire-protective features as it does not melt and drip and becomes charred excellently. These fabrics assure multifunctional protection as they cover several European standards. Mixed with other fibres or finishes they offer additional protective features (antistatic, oil and water repellency, mosquito repellency, antimicrobial protection…). The second programme consists of cotton fabrics or cotton mixed with polyester, finished with fire-safe PYROVATEX® finishing. PYROVATEX® is a top fire-safe finish ensuring at least 50 fabric launderings. It is the best cotton finish.

Protection for welders
This segment of users requires a special, even better fire protection. In this programme we offer you a special double fabric of higher weight (approx. 400g/m2). Double fabrics can be obtained in two versions - modacryl/cotton mix – PROTEX programme or 100% cotton with PYROVATEX® finish.

Electromagnetic radiation protection
TEKSTIM® is a trademark for cotton-type fabrics and yarns with interwoven metal fibres that successfully protect against damaging electromagnetic radiation (EMR). Tekstim® additionally ensures antistatic (according to the 1149-1 standard) protection.
TEKSTIM® is developed, manufactured and marketed by Tekstina. Tekstim yarns and fabrics are used to produce light protective clothing and casual wear, underwear, decorative fabrics and protective products.
TEKSTIM® fabrics were tested at the Ljubljana Institute for Health Protection and the TÜV Institute in Germany applying the following standards: MIL-STD 285, IEEE-STD-299 and EN 50147. The test results prove that the TEKSTIM fabrics can retain 80% of the input signal in the 400-5000 MHz frequency range.

Antistatic protection
The possibilities in the antistatic field are numerous as our programme offers fabrics with antistatic features only or multifunctional fabrics covering several standards at the same time. It is possible to select from two different versions of antistatic fabric according to the 1149/1 or the 1149/3 standard. The first is achieved using RESISTAT® filaments and metal fibres, and the second wine using NEGASTAT® integrated filaments.
High visibility fabrics
In the high visibility fabrics programme you can choose from the standard 100% polyester fabrics or the novelty in this area, the PROTEX® PROGRAMME, in which we offer PROTEX high visibility colours, either as combination with the common clothing colours, or the whole clothing in highly visible colour. We are proud to be one of the first manufacturers in Europe to offer the PROTEX® high visibility programme.

Protection against chemicals
The entire programme is offered with oil and water repelling finish which is achieved applying DuPont’s ADVANCED TEFLON®, providing protection against chemicals, oils and water, which can be applied for outdoor and indoor clothing.

Application in health care activities
For the needs of health care professionals within the range of hospital-grade collection we offer all kinds of fabrics required or desired, from 100% cotton fabrics to cotton/polyester mixes. Within the framework of medical protection the fabrics enabling antistatic protection, as well as protection against electromagnetic radiation (up to 80%) (TEKSTIM®) should be mentioned. Our lines of products includes also classical finishes such as antibacterial (Sanitzed, Actifresh, Silver) and Teflon finishes. Due to high demand, we are expanding our line with organic cotton articles.
